Saturn Devouring His Children
In the painting, It shows the graphic scene of Saturn (Father) eating one of his six sons under some myth he was believing about the Roman god Saturn, who was haunted by a prophecy that one of his sons would overthrow him as king. He ate his sons as soon as they were born. His wife kept one of her sons (Jupiter) from Saturn which then later throughout the years one he grew up; he overthrew his father just as the prophecy predicted.
Witches' Sabbath
Witches' Sabbath or The Great He-Goat are names given to an oil mural by the Spanish artist Francisco Goya, completed sometime between 1821 and 1823. It explores themes of violence, intimidation, aging and death. Satan hulks, in the form of a goat, in moonlit silhouette over a coven of terrified witches.
Two Old Ones Eating Soup
Two Old Ones Eating Soup or The Witchy Brew is one of fourteen Black Paintings created by Francisco Goya between 1819–1823. In the art piece, their genders haven’t been confirmed but what we know that they are very old. By this time, Goya was in his mid-70s and deeply disillusioned. He painted the works on the interior walls of the house known as the Quinta del Sordo.
