Disney Plus is a new ambitious streaming service being introduced from none other than the titan themselves: Disney. What this means for movies and streaming could spell the end of Netflix, as Hulu and Disney might pair up and be the superior option when it comes to pricing and membership. On the other hand, in terms of box office and movie theaters, if Disney really wanted to they could add movies to their service the day they premier in the theaters. Giving Disney full capability to monopolize this market even more to themselves. With Disney leading the film industry means we would start seeing less and less of more older known franchises such as Nickelodeon and 20th Century Fox possibly being beat out by the better company. As to what Disney will do is up to them this is just a project right now after all. Information and pricing will be announced around November 12, 2019. This is a very exciting development and should transpire a whole new movie movement, where it leads to we don't know but the developing journey is sure to be a long and hopefully prosperous ride until the end. In my opinion Disney is in a very good position but must sign a deal either with Hulu or Netflix. Disney Plus (Disney+) as an Exclusive service only for Disney associated movies will cause fatigue and a desire to pay for another streaming service. As Disney is more geared to a childish or teenage crowd many will tire of the general access content possibly. All other shows that people have a connection to are still going so, switching platforms may not be fully applicable. Disney+ and Netflix are most likely to grow together and compete against each other. Not only are these show/movie memberships going against each other but this also might be bad for movie theaters and maybe even TV providers for all that Netflix and Disney+ come out with. I think because streaming has become so popular that we can watch these movies/shows anywhere, also with so many choices of movies. Who knows? People might or might not be into the new addition, we will just have to see and wait to see if Disney+ surprises all us Disney lovers with!
