After many accusations of using sweatshops to produce products, Nike has been facing some protests about it. The company has gone through boycotts and legal cases for potentially using sweatshops. A lot of people don't agree with using sweatshops because they work people too long for a very low pay. Using a sweatshop to pay less for production is cruel to the workers. Sweatshops have been around for a very long time and a lot of people are against it. Nike has denied that they use sweatshops but a lot of people don't believe it. Nike used a lot of Japanese and Chinese factories in the past, but Nike claims they own the factories themselves and do not use a third party Nike also claimed they pay their workers a livable wage, although they never released exact amount they pay. Nothing has been proven about these cases but Nike has supported their side very well seeming to be either telling the truth or they know how to lie without being caught.
