Russel Westbrook 20-20-20
The Oklahoma City Thunder (OKC) player Russell Westbrook had a historic moment on April 2, 2019 against the Lakers with the final score at 119 to 103 in Thunders favor. He hit a triple-double and dedicated it to Nipsey Hussle. Russell had 20 rebounds, 20 points, and 21 assists; which makes him the 2nd NBA player in history to ever do it. The only other player to have a 20-20-20 is Wilt Chamberlain who had 22 points, 21 assists, and 25 rebounds in a single game. Westbrook had his final rebound with less than a minute in the 4th quarter. After the game Russell had a few words to say"Grateful to play the game, but that wasn't for me, man. That was for my bro, man. That was for Nipsey." he dedicated his game to the rapper Nipsey Hussle, who passed away on March 31, 2019 in Los Angeles after getting shot multiple times. Westbrook grew up a couple miles away from Nipsey (born Ermias Davidson Asghedom) in Los Angeles, California. On Tuesday’s game Westbrook refused to talk to reporters about Nipseys death. After the game Westbrook had more to say to the public. It was very personal to him, “Twenty plus 20 plus 20, they know what that means”, this is a reference to Nipsey Hussle who had publicly been known as a Rollin 60’s Crip.. Nipsey and Westbrook did charity work together for the “Why Not?” Foundation. Catch Russell Westbrook at 8:30 PM Tomorrow against the Trail Blazers.
