Alysia Pollock, Lexxus Gonzalez, & Espy Duran Febuary 26,2019 The Evolution of EDMMusic has definitely changed over time; it went from the earliest form of music of just making a beat with rocks and sticks to different genres like EDM (Electronic dance music). EDM is a combination of house, drum n’ bass, dubstep, trap and hardstyle. It also originated from the disco genre.It’s normally in a club like scene and has been around since the 1980s. Early 20th century- Delia Derbyshire was one of the first electronic music producers and synthesists of her time. Her revolutionary “Doctor Who Theme” and seminal album of 1969. Her production material and influences of sound for television and radio programs are in the BBC sound archives, but because of copyrights she wasn’t properly credited for her work. The 70s was the birth of disco, the first wave of club music was made. There was now a demand and popularity that came with clubs employing dj’s, it turned into a club must have. Electronic artists like Kraftwerk and Donna Summer incorporated early electro and house, using Roland TR-808s,TR-909 drum machines and Roland TB-303 bass synthesizer. This type of genre is usually for teenagers and young adults, because this type of music pumps people up and gets their adrenaline going. People of all sorts of backgrounds attend so it’s nice to meet new people on both days 30,000 people attend. The tickets can sometimes be expensive, but they are worth it because they can come with decorative boxes or an extra something or include your stay. They sell merchandise and food and have free water fountains.
